Where is this map highlighting?

The walrus lives in the Artic Ocean yet one was spotted off Co. Kerry last weekend. That’s a long long way from home. How did it end up in Kerry?

The walrus belongs to the seal family.

In the seal family, you find seals, sea lions and walruses.

They get food on the sea bed. They use their whiskers to sense vibrations and dig out the food with their tusks.

Both have ear flaps and a sea lion can stand on its flippers.
A walrus has tusks, whiskers and no ear flaps. They can be the size of a cow. (Norse word for them is Small Horse)

They say the Kerry walrus possibly fell asleeo on an iceberg and drifted off from home. He needs to build up his strength before he heads back home.

Do you think he will find his way back home to West Greenland.
