Earth has landed objects on Mars on 9 occasions. 5 of them are Rovers.

Sojourner Rover, Landed in July 1997. Lost contact in Sept 1997

Opportunity Rover, Launched 2003, Last contact 2018
Opportunity Rover, Launched 2003, Last contact 2010, stuck in sand.
Curiosity Rover, Launched 2011, Still working
Landed on Mars last Friday after 7 months travel.

Earth’s temperature ranges from -30 degrees to 45 degrees. Mars temperature ranges from – 80 degrees to 15 degrees.

The Perseverance Rover landed in the Jezero crater. They say it was once filled with water. The Perseverance is going to take samples and search for ancient life on Mars. (Martians)

Let’s watch 2 videos. The Opportunity Rover landing (2003) and the Perseverance Rover landing (2021). Perseverance was a bigger Rover and the same landing technique could not be used.
