    1. He was happy to be called caveman because it ment he was accepted into group D.

    2. Out of anger I think they spit in the hole because they had slogged all day trying to dig the hole.

    1.he was glad to be called caveman. Because in his old school he was builled. So they boys at the camp gave him a name and Stanley felt he was accepted.
    2. I think they spited in there hole because when they finished digging the hole they would spit at the end to mark the end where they finished

    Yes Stanley was happy to be called caveman because he thought he was part of the gang.I think they spit into their holes because they are disappointed that they are at camp green lake digging holes under the sun.

    Q-1 Yes he did enjoy being called Caveman because in his old school people use to bully him so being called Caveman it made him feel like the other boys accepted him.
    Q-2 I think it’s to show they are done digging their hole.

    Ans: Yes Stanley was glad to be called Caveman because when he was in school he got bullied by a boy called Derek and this nickname means he is strong now and has friends from the Camp, that would hopefully help him beat up Derek if he tried to pick on him in the future.

    Ans: I think they spit in the hole when they are finished digging because it is to show that they are finally finished and that is their mark to say so.
